Yoga for men

In an ever changing and ever challenging world, it is essential that the men wake up to realize our potential to be amazing leaders, caring and supporting partners, loving children to our parents, powerful warriors, compassionate friends, passionate lovers and so much more.

David is committed to teaching Yoga to Men as a life changing practice that does so much more than just create physical health & flexibility.

Using the inspiration of Carl Jung, David also works with the Archetypes of Men on and off the mat to support men in expanding our boundaries physically, mentally and spiritually.  Each Archetype can be embodied with various Yoga poses and the qualities of these archetypes are important for men to apply into our lives so we keep evolving.

David has created an Archetypes in Yoga Program that includes on the mat poses & philosophy as well as off the mat 'ways of being' to inspire men to develop ourselves personally.  David also works with Men's Circles in Mallorca and around Europe and is happy to support the men of the world in getting together, sharing deeply and growing together.  Please contact him if you are interested to start a Men's Circle in your area.

Within these pages, you will explore and discover positive &negative qualities  (also known as Mature / Immature) of five Archetypes of Man and put them into practice on and off the mat.

The power and humble pride of the King.

The strength and focus of the Warrior.

The playfulness and entertaining essence of the Joker.

The mystery and surprise of the Magician.

The compassion and sensitivity of the Lover.

Through developing these qualities and ‘ways of being,’ I hope to support men in bringing clear results when engaging with others at work, in relationships, in families and just about everywhere.

Yoga is so much more than just stretching hamstrings and being a mature and ‘good’ man is much more than is presented in modern media and stereotypes. Yoga is a deep personal path that requires commitment and a willingness to grow in order to re-establish a connection to the higher self.

Being a man of integrity who is trustworthy, powerful and loving also requires the same commitment and willingness as well as guidance and support. Many of today’s political and social challenges can be linked to immature masculine actions and qualities.

When we apply a conscious effort to ‘grow up,’ to take responsibility for our actions and to support others we can make a positive change in the world. And we need great leaders and guides to make the journey an effective one.

To get started on the physical side of Yoga, here are six great poses for men:
